Quemada 3

“From the street, I knew it was a special house. But I had no idea of how elegant until  I walked inside. Everywhere I looked, from the floors to the ceilings, I felt the serenity of the design, and the attention to detail. As I looked closer the use of historically accurate materials deepened the sense of beauty and elegance that surrounded me.”

“The awe of the design, the beauty of the craftsmanship, and the exquisite materials create a profound sense of tranquility.”

Authentic Reproduction

  • This new 18th C. colonial house interprets tradition in a Green and elegantly contemporary way.  It has the luxury of simplicity and simplicity of luxury throughout.

Many houses claim colonial style - this house owns it.

Eco-Friendly throughout

  • As we face an environmental crisis it makes sense to look to construction techniques and materials that are non-polluting recyclable and are energy-wise.

Casa Quemada 3 is built of solid adobe that uses minimal steel and concrete - materials that consume more than 150 times the energy requires to produce adobe - making it cheaper and more energy conscious.

The finish plaster is lime-based, not cement, made to traditional recipes.  We even boiled cactus for binder and added natural color pigments.

Attention to Detail

  • “There is no brashness in this house. There is no room for the “look at me design”.

The dignity of this house is reflected in the historical harmony of design and materials and a sublime sense of simplicity and  elegance.”
